Jesus on Screen: Jim Caviezel, Willem Dafoe and Christian Bale on Portraying Biblical Messiah

ET spoke with Jim Caviezel, Willem Dafoe and Christian Bale about playing biblical icon Jesus Christ on screen. Caviezel recalled his first meeting with director Mel Gibson about 2004's 'The Passion of the Christ,' and getting struck by lightning while filming the crucifixion scene. Dafoe addressed the controversy surrounding his and Martin Scorsese's 1988 adaptation of Nikos Kazantzakis' historical novel, 'The Last Temptation of Christ.' Between his roles in 'American Psycho' and 'Mary, Mother of Jesus,' Bale admitted he experienced more nightmares while portraying Jesus than he did with Patrick Bateman.
